The Flower Inspiration Project*
For me, photographing flowers interconnects a triad of science, art, and beauty which often also occurs in Dermatology. It is important for Clinicians to develop a discerning eye to evaluate the health, tone, texture and color of their patient’s skin which is similar to what I want to capture and convey in my floral pictures. I rely on natural light for the best analysis and presentation.
The practice of dermatology and the practice of observing nature equally invite one to slow down and notice what often goes unseen.
*Flowers from Sarasota to North Carolina and from Amsterdam to the Dolomites.
